The enso circle holds the esssence of the brush holder at the very moment of the painting, never to be replicated - spirited in whichever representation lands on the paper. Sometimes open, sometimes closed and full circle. When the circle is incomplete there is room for movement still and development. When the circle is closed it is said to be symbolic of completion.
